If given a choice i would have accepted some kind of treatment to help me grow taller.I know i dont stand a chance now but if people are way short then they should be given that helping hand.I mean i aint super short i can mange to get round things by different means.
Being 4'8 is really awkward to adjust to the outside world and you would think that i would be over it by now.Especially now that i am 50 yrs old.I do however have a sister who is short like me give or take an inch.She is older and says jokingly that she deserves to be slightly taller than her younger sister.We also have a older brother who is also like us he is actually 4'6 and having a good sense of humour helps him.He used to always tell people that he is short because he wanted to save some of the height for his siblings.I did used to feel sorry for him when we were younger has he took such alot if stick at school.We didnt expect anything different as our parents are short with mum standing at 4'7 and dad 5'0.He used to say to people that his ideal woman is someone short.So meeting up with mum was the greatest he couldnt beleive it when she turned up for the date with him.Apparently when she turned up she had high heels on thus making her abit taller. dad says that has she got nearer he thought oh no she is going to be tall.But with her shoes on she was still only 4'11.By the end of the night when my dad walked her home she said right lets kick these off now i have had enough of them.That is when it dawned on my dad that she was shorter than he thought.My dad replied that it was the first woman to date him and that he was surprised that she was shorter than him.
Me i am married to a decent guy who is obviously taller than me he stands at 5'9 and our daughters are between 4'10 and 5'8.We have a son who is 5'11 and proud of it so he tells us. |

I cant think of anything worse than being shorter than your younger sister and brother.I am now 17 and my height is a fraction under 4'9 my 16 y o brother is 5'6 and my 14 y o sister is 5'0.I have never been happier than when my sister and brother were both shorter than me.They would both listen to me when things had to be done but now they dont listen to me and just say WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE.So i just give up i get told by my mum and dad to treat them better.If anything it is the otherway round i am treated like i am 10 sometimes because if i cant reach something i have to ask has my mum doesnt like me climbing on the worktops in the kitchen.I think it must have been at a wedding i was 10 and my sister was bang on my height.Now she is a little younger than me WELL all night i had family saying IF you aint careful Lilly is gonna grow taller than you.My brother was a few inches shorter than me at the time.That is when things changed and i pointed out to my mum that i didnt think i was growing much has even Lilly was getting taller than me.I was then taken to the doctors to get checked out i have tests done and x.rays only to be told my adult height is gonna be no taller than 4'9.He was right has i am slightly under 4'9.I didnt mind my brother being taller than me has that was usually the case.When Lilly started getting taller that was it.At parties i had to endure uncles saying TOLD you so .Still to this day. |

I only agree with g.h.t if someone is especially short for their age.I feel sorry for the primordial dwarfs they have it bad and maybe dont live as long.I love my height and being short is part of me.I always thought that being 4'9 is an inconvenience if nothing else.Obviously children think that i am still young like them and ask how old i am.I just look at it being 3 inches off 5'0 and wearing heels i can get to the big 5'0.My biggest problem was having my sister who is 2 years younger than me grow taller when i was 9 years old.I generally think that it skipped my mum and caught me with having short height.My dad stands at 5'10 and my mum is 5'3.I have a brother who is 22 and he is 6'2 then comes me 18 and 4'9 lastly is Kiera and she is 16 and 5'8.So both my sister and brother got dad's height me i got my nan's height has she is also 4'9.I used to take it out on Kiera when she started growing taller than me as my uncles were always saying if you arent careful you are gonna be the shortest in your house.Sharing the same room as Kiera was a nightmare at time as i was always only allowed on the bottom bunk whereas Kiera was always up top.When at primary school it didnt bother me too much as i just said that we all take a while to grow anyway.When i was about to head into high school that is when i started to get embarrassed about my height has most of my class was 6 inches taller.I had a couple of short friends in class but they still had the edge on me.My high school uniform was alot of hassle i had to have things altered and my blazer caused the most problems has it was long.I think i was about 4'5 or 4'6 when i went up and over the years got the extra inches.I did try everything though like drinking milk and excercise to try to bulk me up.Nothing worked though.So i am now this height until i start shrinking when i get older i just hope i dont lose too many inches i have read it could be as much has 3 inches.Making me a meagre 4'6 i really do hope not. |

I suppose in the long run short people want to always be taller than they are for the simple reasons that stand in their way in life.Being short you always look younger than you actually are.In some circumstances it is fine like when you get older but not when you are say like a teenager.Everything seems more of an obstacle and you may have to go round something rather than over it.Dont get me wrong i like my height but it is more of an inconvenience that not.I am now 29 and my adult height is 4'5 while growing up i had a growth hormone problem but couldnt get the treatment to help me grow.I have a great husband who is obviously taller than me and helps me alot he is 5'2 so not exactly a giant to some people but to me i would have loved to be that height instead of 9 inches taller than me.I always knew that i was never going to catch up with my classmates at the start it was fine till i was 7 yrs old.I was getting called all names and half of them i didnt know what they were.All my clothes had to be altered over the years especially the school uniform.I hated the school photo's that had to be taken my mum decided to have me and my brother and sister in them.So they were taken out of their classes and we had to sit on a bench.I was always shoved at the front now my brother and sister were both a little younger than me but both taller.The class photo's were the worse it was alwya done short to tall and i was pushed to the front so i didnt look like a floating head.In high school nothing had changed i was still the same height has i was aged 8.I was still in the same clothes and my feet were rather small.On my first day i was forever having the school asking me questions why i was so little and will i grow i didnt know the answer.In high school i was 4'0 the smallest out of everyone to me it seemed more safer in primary school has i didnt mind younger children asking how old i was has i was their size but they knew i was older.The coridors seemed a nightmare has everyone rushed to class and i was tripped up or knocked over has i wasnt in peoples eyeline.On occassions i was lucky enough to walk with a teaching assistant which was good.Doing p.e was very hard on me i was just about able to do trampoling as long as i stayed in the middle.Swimming i was good at and the rope climbing i was good i could beat nearly everyone at that.Doing races i never sttod a chance and long distance running was a no go and i didnt have the stamina so i was told to do half the course.Some pupils in my class didnt like that and made my life impossible in p.e.If i couldnt do the same things as them i was told to leave it out.Has i was coming to the end of my schooling we had to endure a physical test and i passed that we then had a height measurement taken for our last year and that is when i found out i was 4'5 over the years at school i managed to grow about 5 ins.The next shortest person was a chinese girl who was 4'8 i saw her parents and they were short like her.The shortest boy was 4'9 and abit not exactly 4'10.He loved to tell people he was 4'10 but some girls soon put him right abour it.My mum is 5'6 and my dad is 5'8 so no problem with their heights.Luke my brother is 28 and he grew to 5'9 and Kirsty is 26 and she is 5'5.My husband is 5'5 and we have been married for 10 years, we have a daughter who is 9 and she is 4'10 and a son who is 8 and he is 4'5 my height.Our daughter seems okay in her height but i am not too sure with our son he is abit shorter than most of his class.I mean his dad isnt a giant so we wont know for a little while how he grows.I endure alot of things when i am out if i am queing up i have trouble being seen and missed out.Then there are times when kids try to stand near me and shout to their mum's are they taller than me.Of course most of the time they are i just like to get on with life and not keep being pestered i am not a freak i am a person. |

I disagree with g.h.t especially when silly parents want it only to further their childrens career.Now let me explain that being short isnt a disability or anythink like that.Being short is a pain i know so because i am short.I am 20 years old and only 4'9,i have a sister who is 19 and 5'7 and my 17 year old brother is 5'9.My dad is 5'5 and my mum is 4'9 exactly like me.For some reason we take after my grandmother who used to be 4'10 but now also 4'9 due to shrinking so she tells me.For a start off i am dreading shrinking when i get in my 50's as that it when it happens.My mum is already 47 and she says that she seem abit shorter than before.I have checked it out on websites and apparently you can shrink about 3 ins .That means that me and mum could end up about 4'6 if this is true.I think that my height never really bothered me while at primary school because when mum used to drop me off i used to notice that she was quite abit shorter than some of the mums there.That is why i was never checked out by the doctor has she knew i was going to take after her.It was when i was in my last year at primary school and they did a height masurement and i was the same height as a chinese girl.There was only one boy who was also short like us.The heights ranged from 4'5 to 5'4.This was for the whole of my year.when we went to high school it was abit daunting for us shorter kids.We used to get jostled and pushed in the corridors.Mum had to buy the smallest school uniform and some still had to be taken up.I used to hang with a great group of girls tall and short ones.I used to har some girls say hey lets stand next to becky as she makes us look taller than what we are and they would laugh.Some girls i think were jealous as i was in some of the top classes, i used to get called a little munchkin and little legs.It was annoying.When we had family weddings to go to i was usually shoved at the front has no one could see me and mum half the time.My sister was already a head taller than me when i was 11 years old.My brother was also a couple of inches taller than me.I used to have my uncles saying things like if i wasnt careful both my sister and brother will outgrow me and i was only young at the time.When me and mum need to go clothes shopping we try to go when it is pretty quiet as it can be rather annoying when we have to look around at the junior section for clothes our height.I have measured my height in the store and 4'9 comes out at 9/10 year old clothes.I know that it is abit degrading for mum having to buy clothes like this but she did try adult clothes and she tried on trousers that were short length and she went to the changing rooms and said they were no good.She said they swamped her the length was 6 ins too long at least.When she goes food shopping she tends to take my brother or sister has some items are way to high to reach and they come in handy.I just cant help when i go and sometimes dad comes up abit short as well.My sister calls me her little big sister because i am older but shorter than her. I find it awkward when in crowds as i get pushed and people seem to always have their eyeline straight ahead and they end up walking into us.Then they say sorry i didnt see you and laugh.Some people can be very inconsiderate to us and we dont get treated the same has taller people. |

I think it is a good idea of g.h.t only in certain circumstances like if the really short like primordial dwarfs could get abit of help then maybe that would be better.Has some of them can be very short like in Britain we have the one and only primordial dwarf and he is going to be extremely short i dont know how short.There was a programme on him Alex i think his name was and it was called Walkinh With Giants for the simple reason that is what he woll be doing for the rest of his life which is a shame.
Well i think people like that need all the help they can get has it must be awful being a little over 3'0 and that.When short people like normal achon dwarfs want the extra help for cosmetic reasons to try to get accepted in life and to be treated the same has others.I mean that it isnt fair when there ar short people because their parents are short and that is their reason for their short comings.I am 4'10 and 38 years old so my growing days are well over.Now i have my dad who is 5'5 and my mum 5'0.So both below average height.I then have my older brother who is 5'6 and younger sister who is 5'4.Now fancy that me being shorter than my sister who is 4 years younger than me.I mean the only time i reach 5'0 is when i wear high shoes.Apart from that everyday i wake up and it is more of an inconvenience being short than anything else.Yes i did used to be angry and jealous that i was shorter than my siblings but that is just the way it is.I married a guy that is 5'6 who is still classed at below average height and same again our son is 18 and he is 5'3 and our daughter who is 15 and she is 5'7.Jake doesnt like being shorter than his sister and he used to be the same trying to undermine her and tell her what to do has he was older.It doesnt work for him his sister just laughs when he tries to do it.So there is definetly sibling rivalry there and mayeb alot of jealousy has Janet makes it worse when she wears high heels and when we go out she is sometimes 8 inches taller than him and then calls him shortstack.I think she does it because of when he used to treat her badly so what goes around comes around i suppose. |

I and my husband are average heights, i am 5'6 and my husband is 5'11.We have a son who is 17 and he is 6'1 obviously from his dad he gets his height.We have a 15 year old daughter and she is now 4'9 i think she has had it for gaining more height.Then comes the youngest she is 13 and she is 5'3 already.Kayla is the 16 year old and from the age of 8 she had to have some g.h.t has she was very short.She could have gone on the treatment before this but we let her decide after finding out has to why she wasnt growing like her friends.We noticed when she was 4 years old that she was shorter than the rest of her class.Over the next 2 years she just didnt catch up with the rest so she had some tests done.We were then told that because she was way shorter and had a growth problem they suggested the g.h.t..She had just turned 8 and it was her idea has she was fed up being her short height.She was weighed and measured at the g.p and he explainned what will happen.So she went up gradually over the years.It was a steady growth possibly due to her being very short.I remember being told her height when she started was 3'9 no where near her height that she should be.I am glad she decided to go ahead has we were told that she would only grow to 4'3 and i was pretty shocked.It was only when Kayla said she was fed up with other children calling her names and being treated like a baby.She said that she was always being picked up and carried because all the children were taller.When teachers saw this happen the children then got in trouble.She was fed up with the patting on her head has she walked around in school and the younger children coming up to her and saying how much taller they were.Over the first year she grew 3 inches then it just went up.I know that she took it hard being the older sister to Grace and being shorter than her.Even though there is only 2 years difference.I think it was when Kayla was 6 and Grace was 4 and Grace was already taller than her.They both shared a bedroom but has Grace got taller and taller i think we probably treated her differently to Kayla.Even though we shouldnt have has Kayla was the oldest and should have been treated that way.So even in i and my husbands eyes she wasnt really growing up.Kayla was never allowed to sleep on the top bunk has if she fell out she would badly injure herself.All her clothes were put in a cupboard that was made to help her.We did try to help her by lowering certain things in the kitchen.We didnt feel that it was right she should not be able to do things we all can do.So we lowered the sink and some of the worktops.The microwave was lowered for her has well.At school it was just so different for her has the lockers were too high for her so she had to carry her books all around with her.When she started high school she was measured at 4'5 she was again still the shortest out of the whole school.There was only a chinese girl and an asian girl that were both 4'6 and they wore high heels.Kayla didnt like wearing them too high.Over the next 2 years or something she then reached her height of 4'9 and said enough was enough.She said that she will be happier at this height rather than 4'0.When i see her off to school walking with her friends she still looks like a young child compared to them has one of her friends is already 5'7 and her shorter friends are 4'11 and 5'0.So being only a couple of inches shorter doesnt bother her now.Also the two other short girls in her year both ended up the same height has her so they were all 4'9 in the end.
So i would say that if there is a chance to have the g.h.t go ahead has it will make the child very happy and be abit more acceptable to children their age. |

I have been married to a man now for 30 years, my height is 5'5 and my husband is 5'3.We have 2 sons 1 is 25 and 5'2 then the other is 18 and he is 5'1.We also have our daughter she is 12 years old now and just about to start high school.Well the thing is that she is way below average height.She always has been and so far she is okay about it.I did get her checked out at the doctors when she was 5 years old has i noticed then that she was pretty short.Some children her age then were over 6 inches taller than Amy.The doctor did some tests on her and it turned out that she has a growth hormone problem.This inturn worried me and her dad and the doctor said that treatment was not possible for her.So of course we just left it and she fell behind in her height.Now she is 12 and starting high school in September in the summer i will have to get her school uniform.Well i have seen some of it and the smallest school blazer i have found is aged 10 and i have measured her and the blazer is going to swamp her.The length was past her knees i have checked if i can get it altered to smaller for her.I was told of someone and hopefully it wont look too silly for her.I know that so far she is only 4'0 tall and i had trouble getting her the junior uniform for school.I mean she is such a sweet girl and tries not to let people get her down i have seen her in her room doing exercises and stretching.There was a girl who wasnt in her year but in the infants and she said to Amy why she was shorter than her.Now Amy has a wise head on her shoulders and tried to explain to her, the girl ended up saying to her that so you are going to be shorter than me all the time and laughed.The new school has said that she will get a helper has the corridors to classes can be very daunting for a new kid let alone someone who is half the kids sizes who are older than her.It is just good to see her with her friends has i thought she would spend time with the younger kids but no she wont have it.She is quite good at some sports and she likes p.e.Obviously she cant do things like sports day has she either watches or goes into the younger kids one.Also netball she has no chance of doing at school but gymnastics she is brilliant.The best in class and hopefully she can carry it on.The doctor says that she hasnt got alot more growing to do and if we are lucky she may reach 4'4.We have been told that there will be 2 other children with a growth problem in Amy's year when she starts and so least she will be happier.We havent heard too much about them has they are a brother and sister that are twins.So i just hope that they can all be friends and the other children accept them. |

Dont worry about being short it is best to work with what you have.I am a short woman 4'9 both my parents are average height 5'7 and 5'8.I am 25 yrs old and know i aint gonna grow no more.I have a sister who is 24 and she is 5'8 like dad.I also have a brother 18 and he is already 6'0.Dont ask me why he got so tall.I remember sharing a bedroom with my sister and because there wasnt much in our age we usually shared a bedroom.Caroline and myself was always having our height put on the height chart has we both shared it.I think it was when i was 10 and Caroline was just over a year younger so on our birthdays it was like a ritual we always had our height checked.On my 10 th birthday i was surprised has Caroline was exactly my height we looked just like twins.I knew that i was a little shorter than some kids in class but it never bothered me.Mum always commented on the other kids being taller than myself.She decided to check me out at the doctors.I had x.rays and tests done and i had to wait for the results.We went back to see the doctor and he said that if there was any short statured people in the family.Mum and dad was average and Carline was bang on my height.My mum said that i was about 3 ins shorter than some kids.The doctor said maybe there was grandparents that were short.My mum said that her mum was barely 5'0 and her mum so it had gone back a while.he measured me and said that he felt that i may not reach 5'0 also due to my bone structure.I thought well 5'0 is better than nothing i can handle that.When i went to high school it was not too bad there i had some good company in having some short friends.Even some boys liked hanging with us.We did also average height friends has well.It just made it easier for us to fit in.I hated going shopping for my school uniform has nothing really fitted me everything had to be altered.The trousers i got was aged 8yrs and i was 12 but least they didnt have to be altered.My school blazer was nearly down to my knees it looked funny.The sleeves were all rolled up.This carried on all the time through school.I was given a few nicknames some i didnt like LITTLE LEGS used to annoy be pocket rocket wasnt too bad has i was pretty nifty in speed.I didnt like any names with the word SHORT in it.I was forever being asked to stand up when i answered a question in class and the teacher yelling at me for not standing up.When i explainned that i was standing he didnt even say sorry but suggested that i sat in the front so i could be seen.After 3 yrs at school we had to do a height and weight check now the weight didnt bother me has i knew i was fine.The height bit was standing infront of the whole year and being measured i came out at 4'6 age 13 then we were put into shortest to tallest and i was the same height has 3 girls and 2 boys.The heights ranged from 4'9 to 5'8.Then the worse was being done from youngest to oldest now i was the 3rd oldest and one of the shortest.That is when i thought maybe the doctor is right about my height.In our last year they did our last checkup for height and weight.I was now age just over 16 and my height was 4'9.Most of the boys got their growth spurts and only Kai Chong was the shortest boy standing at 4'10.The girls were still on the short side.I only had 2 that were similar to me.The rest got taller.While me and Caroline were at school i had to endure pupils keep asking me if i was older or younger than Caroline has when she started high school she was already 4'10 and quite abit taller than me.I just didnt realise that she was going to get even more taller i mean she is nearly a foot taller.We do sometimes go out together but i am the one having to show i.d all the time.I remember going to the supermarket with my mum when i was 18 now i couldnt buy the drink and i looked too young.That is why mum came,but i was standing at the meat counter and a little girl came up and said to her mum AM I TALLER THAN HER i think she was about 9/10 i said to her that she was rather rude and i said NO U AINT and laughed.So just dont let people get you down has that is all they want to do. |

There are possibly products for making people taller.I just wouldnt really like to try for any.Especially when i stopped growing many years ago.So for me iam used to being this height that i reached.Okay i may be an old guy now but it did take a while being used to it.Even now when i walk down the street i come up to the height of 10 yr old kids.Standing in crowds is a nightmare i get pushed from one side to the other because people cant see me in their eyeline.To the average guy i come up to their chest if the guy is like 5'10 at least.I remember being a height of 5'0 but now i am 4'10 because i am 72 yrs old.I just try to look on the bright side of life and that seems to get me by now. |

I dont really believe that people can get taller after their growth spell has finished.I have heard people going to Russia to get leg lengthening done.This i would never dream of doing for £4000 and alot of pain and lying in bed for months just to get 3 ins.Is it worth it.
I am a short guy and always have and always will be the shortest male in a group of people WHY because that is what god intended me to get given so i embrace it.Now i havent got a problem with being short obviously i would have loved to be abit taller than i reached but i have lived and learned.Now being 65 yrs old i had always been 4'11 until i had a physical checkup and found out i am now down to 4'9.Apparently since i reached my 40's i had started to shrink i for some reason didnt notice too much has all the grand children were getting taller and i just thought that was them.Losing 2 ins i should well have realised sooner i mean my trousers always had to be taken up anyway.I think i remember a while back me and the wife went out and she has always been about 5 ins taller than me.On this night i mentioned to her had she put on high heels to which i was told none higher than normal.She used to just wear about 2 ins on them so it wasnt too bad.When i stood next to her she seemed taller than normal.Like when we wear our slippers and walk round the house she used to have to slant her head.So i said to her go and get a check up has being the same age if anything we should both be shrinking not just me.When she came back and told me her height i was abit surprised.Has she seems to have lost only 1 inch compared to my 2 ins.So she is now 5'5 and i am 4'9 so she is 8 ins taller.
I suppose that is what you get when you have both of your parents shortish.I mean my mum is still going strong and her height is 4'8 now after being 4'11.Whereas my dad is about 5' 0 now.The funny thing is that i could never understand has to why i was the shortest out of the kids while growing up.I have 2 brothers that are twins and they were 5'3 that are older than me and i have 2 sisters that are older than me they were both also 5'4 and 5'2.So how come being the youngest and shortest usually works out.I remember at a wedding it was about 10 yrs ago i remember the day and it came to the reception and one of the grandchildren decided to ask me to dance i thought that was very considerate until she said to me.Grandad i thought i would ask you to dance has you are the only one my height.Now she was about 15 at the time and took alot of stick at school for being short.Even to this day she is still her same height and lucky for her she now has 2 ins which are the 2 ins i have lost .The good thing it when i get the grandkids asking me things while they were growing up has to what they should do about their height mainly the boys the girls are fine they dont mind being short but the guys think it is such a big deal can you believe it. |

I would like to explain my position i am 22 now and 4'10 tall.I have a twin brother who is 5'9.Apparently i didnt get enough nutrients before i was born.All through school we were nicknamed little and large.We have a sister who is 19 and 5'5.I tried everything to try and match my brother in height but i always lagged behind him.I remember being at primary school and the other kids couldnt understand that we were twins and why peter was that much taller.Now Peter had a good 4 ins on me and i was the shortest in class.I hated having class pics taken has i was always down one end and Peter was up the other.When i had been at junior school it was the same old story Peter just grew, my mum took me to the doctor who said that if i was lucky i could reach 5'0 so i lived in hope.The end of junior school we had another pic taken for the class we did the oldest kids in the class to the youngest to show the height of kids.Well me and Peter were one of the oldest and i was the shortest out of us all.We did another on the tallest to shortest and i was still the shortest.
When i started secondary school my height was 4'6 all my uniform was taken up and i hated it.Mum got my trousers and they had to be a size 7yrs has the length was good.My shirts were the same aged 7 and i was nearly 12.It was a nightmare has when it came to changing classes i was knocked all over the place with people saying sorry i didnt see you down there.The classes were alot bigger and many more people there.Me and Peter were split up so we could make new friends which we did.
If given a choice i possibly would have risked hgh but i may have also been scared

I suppose if people dont mind being superficial then that is up to them.I on the other hand never let anything get me down especially about my height.I have never wanted to be any taller than i am now.It is what god meant for me to haveI cannot stand reading about people who would pump drugs into them to make them taller what is the point...
Now here is my situation right i am a guy who is only 16 yrs old but very mature with it.My height is 4'8 okay you are probably thinking yeah but in a few years you will be taller.Not according to my g.p he tells me that because my mum is 4'9 and dad is 5'0 i am not even gonna reach his height.My mum used to measure all of us while growing up i have 1 older sister who is 20 yrs old and 4'10 and a younger brother who is 13 yrs old and he is 4'11.I didnt realize i was gonna be so short.I mean i didnt expect to be a giant but i would have liked to be like my family.I used to hate my mum doing our height on the chart especially when it came to my 13th birthday and that was when i stopped growing.I had to watch my younger brother get a couple of inches taller than me.Mind you he has never been one to show off while being taller.He does say alot of the time that his goal would be to reach 5'0 and he would like that.William my younger brother has been at my school now for nearly 2 years and for most of this time i have had to endure other pupils saying IS THAT REALLY YOUR YOUNGER BROTHER.I have accepted it now though.The best day of school is when the new pupils start and i tend to look out to see if there are any short guys like me.Take the last couple of years there have been about 20 guys starting who have been within my height and now when i see then they are a couple of inches taller.I love looking for the short girls has they tend to be a magnet for me when they have problems they ask for my advice.Since being at school i always try to hang out with the shorter pupils has i do get fed up with talking to people and they have to bend over to talk to me.I have 10 guys in my class and they are between 5'6 and 5'11.I dont really talk to them much has they sometimes make nasty remarks.I have been hanging with my group of friends for quite a few years now.from the start we were all quite short we started school and our heights were between 4'4 and 4'7.this was mainly guys then some short girls started hanging out with us and they were also the same height has us.We have just had a class photo taken and i noticed that over these years our group has got taller and some of the girls.My friends now are between 4'10 and 5'2.These are the girls whereas the guys are now between 5'0 and 5'7.
At the moment i am pretty happy with one of the girls i hang out with has come next July i have a end of school disco to go to and i am thinking of inviting her.I am looking out for a pair of shoes with about 2 inch heels which isnt a problem and the girl i want to take is Lisa she is about 7 months older than me but in my class and she is 5'0 tall.I did ask the shortest girl in our year but she was taken so now i am hoping Lisa will accept.I havent got a problem if she wears heels has everyone knows that i have always been short so there.
So no i havent any intensions of taking hgh in my lifetime.. |

Well i am a rather short guy,never have been tall always the shortest in my group of mates.I am 22 and 5'0 tall or not so.I would have loved to have been like my cousins they are all tall.My mum is 4'11 and dad is 5'2.Then comes me 5'0 followed by my sister Julie she is 16 and 5'2 then is Jake he is 14 and 5'1.Now i knew i wasnt gonna be a giant especially having short parents but god i would have loved to be dad's height 5'2.I remember Julie having a couple of friends round and her friends pointed out the fact that i was shorter than her.I was very annoyed but Julie backed me up saying how rude they were.All my friends are between 5'5 and 6'2 and all the same age has me.Guess who gets turned down when we go to a club.I am totally always i'd where ever i go it is a pain.I thought it was bad enough Julie growing taller than me now i have to watch Jake do exactly the same.I get relatives saying that well least you are in good company with your height has it is lie your mem's.I say Yeah but when she sticks her heels on she is taller than me and dad.I suppose that is what is good for a short woman making themselves look taller.What can i do i would never wear lifts has i tried them and they are too uncomfortable so never again.Not only that my family knew straight away and told me to love who i am.That is all very well but when i have trouble speaking to woman they seem to turn away from me. |

I think that too many people worry about stupid things like their height i mean surely there are bigger and better things to worry about like your health for one.
I have never ever agreed that g.h.t is a necessity all people do is abuse it for the good of themselves so they can get a good job or have a decent partner come on.Take me i am a s.s.p and being a guy doesnt help.I am 4'11.5 i could not even make the big 5'0 you know.The only time i am 5'0 is when i wear my shoes to go outside.Now i havent a problem being this short has i have a much bigger personality and knowledge of a taller counterpart.Okay i cane get off the peg trousers but my mum comes in handy for that.I accepted my height because my parents were both 4'10 and 5'5 so i didnt expect to be a giant.My twin brother on the other hand reached 5'11 nearly a whole foot taller than me.He used to come in handy if i was picked on though.I know height is more or less to do with your parents height but i dont know where my brother sprung from.We were always called little and large at school and both had our own set of friends.Now being older my brother found his wife pretty quickly quicker than me.I found a lovely woman who was 5'1 tall.Which is nice now she loves to wear 3in heels it pleases me that she does anyway.When we go out she can be nearly 6 ins taller and we still get stared at.She says all the time shall i wear my low shoes but i say whatever is better for you.I was turned dow by woman who were 4'9 to 5'6 all telling me to stick with someone my own height.Well i feel i have proved my point that there is someone out there for everyone.
we have a daughter who has taken after me for her height and she is 4'10 which i say to her all the time it is a good height to have she is only 12 and i think she may be lucky and reach 4'11 which would be nice for both of us to be similar in height. Then there is our son he is 11 and already 5'5 which is possibly why his sister is taking her height problem too hard has he is taller and a little younger than her.Then we come to our youngest daughter she is 8 now she is quite small so far she is only 4'2 and the smallest in her class.We checked her out with the doctor only to be told that she wont be a giant and reckons she may only reache between 4'7 and 4'9.She has struggled the hardest has she feels that she cant compete with the rest of the class on sports day has some of her friends are nearing 4'8 already`.All i can hope for her is that she does get taller has she is slowly creeping upwards and she may have till she is 14/15 to grow some more. |

I think alot of people abuse the growth hormone treatment has i mean if your parents are short then you will be short it is all in the genetics either your parents or grandparents.
I come from a short family no one is over 5'2.
My grandad is 5'0
My grandmother is 4'9
Another Grandad is 5'1
Another Grandmother is 5'0
My dad is 5'2
My mum is 4'9
My brother is 5'2
Another brother 5'1
My sister is 4'10
Another sister is 4'11
Then it comes to me i am 4'6 fully grown adult.
I mean growing up was good i was the youngest out of all my sisters and brothers but i couldnt work out why i was the shortest in my family.I would have loved to be the same has my mum and her mum but i couldnt reach it.I love it has we are all pretty short and when we meet up for family gatherings some people stare but we never take much notice.being a good 8 ins shorter than my dad and brother never really bothered me that much.It was only outside has even now when i go shopping i like to buy adult clothes which my mum usually takes up for me.I do encounter alot of problems while shopping has i am forever asking people for help to reach things.Okay i may be the height of a 6/7 year old and sometimes they take great pleasure in coming up and shouting out AM I TALLER THAN HER MUMMY.I just have to look around and stare at the parent has they should be teaching their children the difference.

I do not believe that people should take growth hormone just because they are going to be short.Alot of parents just look at it that they dont want their children to suffer by being short.I mean there was a mother who got growth hormone treatment for her daughter because she didnt think she could become a lawyer in a courtroom due to being around 4'6 or something like that.That is wrong has she took the treatment and reached 5'1 i think SO WHAT.I mean there are genuinely short people who given a choice would have liked an extra few inches i myself would have grabbed it with both hands. This is due to me being a rather short woman i am in my 40's now so you would have thought i would have go over it by now.Obviously it is something people can get over with the only problem with that is while growing up.It is easy for us to settle for the height we reach but there is so much more prejudice out ther that it is unfair.I remember having to watch my younger sister who was 5 years younger than me overtake me in height.She reached 5'9 then my younger brother who is 4 yrs younger he reached 6'4.Me on the other hand only reached 4'8 even now i get compared to my nieces and nephews who are like between the ages of 8/18 years old.Everyone of them are much taller especially the boys.I mean i love my family and some of the things i remember them saying to me were quite funny.My younger sister was always saying look if i could you could have some of my height.My nieces are just great when they come round they say things like we will always protect you has for some reason they think i cant handle myself so i laugh at them.I inturn married a great man he was 5'2 tall and he is a grand old 6ins taller than myself.So if i need any help he is pretty good.I mean he may not be a giant but anyone over 5'0 is lol lol.We have 4 children the 2 older ones are quite tall they are both boys 1 is 18 years old and 5'10 followed by another boy 16 years old he is 5'11 then comes the 2 girls1 is 14 years old and she is only 5'0 and the last one is 4'10 and she is 13 years old.I dont think the girls are going to be much taller has for some reason they take after me.I just tell then that at least they are taller than their old mum to which they laugh and say that they wish they were the same height has each other.I just say that it would be a boring place if we were all the same height.Just work with what you have and everything should work out in the long run. |
