Sri Sunarsasih I always use a song, games and puzzle when I teach in the class , and the children always feel happy and fun. 2 hours learning and play is not enough for them. 2/6/2009

Vladimir Chen Interesting article. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I agree that combining education with entertainment (edutainment) makes English learning more fun and students more receptive. What you mentioned about creating a bond is something I never thought about, but probable took it for granted. However, in reality it is truly important to establish a rapport with students and games really create unique possibilities to get to know one another (between students vs teacher and among students themselves).

In addition to devising games in the classroom setting, English games are widely used on the Internet. Mingoville is an online English learning course for kids. It works, it's free and it's easy to use. Google "Mingoville" and sign up for free today!

h 'jlo;'loas a teacher I’m sure you want to build a bond with your pupils. Playing English games does this in so many ways. You’ll be able to show yourself as a person, not just a teacher, as you encourage your students to do well in the game, or join in with them. Playing games also creates a positive learning environment that allows children to relax and enjoy themselves and those around them. 8/3/2008
