Your Betta Won't Eat?

If you want to raise a healthy looking kid, would you be giving the child cereal every meal?

rukeepingup This was very encouraging. Thank you. i will try to find some live shrimp. Good lead line about how we feed kids a variety. All of a sudden the betta isn't eating his dry ball food. Either he misses my daughter, is sick, or is sick of the food. Bored. I'm not sure maybe all. But I'm excited to see what live food will do for "Velvet" 7/1/2009
bbhj what fish food should we use? 3/13/2009
bill well my betta is going to die. I have tried pellets first, but he spits them out and they go to the bottom and disintegrate. I tried betta flakes next and he also spits them out.
I've never had such a picky-azz fish before in my life. I hate to think he's going to die of anorexia.

Jelly I don't mean to put a bump on the road, but some bettas do eat flakes - at least a little. I tried feeding some flakes made by Tetra (BettaMin), and my bettas ate it. Although I'll admit, one ate it for awhile and then quit, almost starving itself to death. I then had to go on a mixture of live and pellet (Bio-Gold, I think). Variety is the key I guess. 2/20/2009
