Faith I think it is the most disgusting thing imaginable. I don't know which is worse the psychological treatment of others or being physically abusive to someone. So if I am to understand this, sadists are also great liars and manipulators?

They may put off an air of love, and all those good things, but it is all used as a means of trickery? I have been close to people like this throughout my life, only to find that in their hearts they were purely evil. I don't know if these people were just abused or are all to self important. Perhaps unable to express emotion and so they take it out on others (aggression)?

Good article! Just wish we knew more about 'the whats' and 'whys' of it?
