Diego Deleon I have an American staffordshire terrier that I adore, and the thought of her dying terrifies me. If i could afford to have her cloned when that day comes, that would be awesome, and I would definitely do it. 7/9/2011
barbara It is my understanding that just because the cloned animal is "new", the genes are still the same age. This could explain the failures and deformities. I agree with those who say there are so many homeless pets - how about giving them a chance for a good home and love! 7/5/2011

Preston "Teddy" I have a few things to say firstly I have heard a great deal about cloneing from both sides. Now this being on the matter of cloning pets I will restrict my coments to that enviroment. I personnly have no problems with the cloneing of pets in any manner. some of the critics have said this "Critics also complain that the technology is available only to the wealthy, that using it to create house pets is frivolous and that customers grieving over lost pets have unrealistic expectations of what they’re buying." I will adress the three seprate complants contained here-in. firstly that it is only avalible to the wealthy, Well excuse the cloners for not being able to make a highly exparimentle, new tech, that's non nessisary to basic human needs cost the same as a loaf of bread. second that using it to create house pets is frivolous. This very nearly falls under the same cadigory as the last. The rich have always enjoyed perks that in an earlyer genaration would never become avalible to the genaral public, and to whine about and try to use this as a reson to discontinue fundimentale gentic reserch is abhorid. (much like my spelling skills) In the past basic reserch never gave any kind of benifet to anybody, these men are trying to futher genetics in what I would call a fun and festive way, why there attempts to turn this new tech to capitalistic endevors is as purly an american action as I have ever had the plesure to see in my life. and finally, the griveing owners not knowing what there buying have been told what there buying but what they lack is not informed concent but the simple intelegence to lisen to what the've been told they were told but there din't chose to lisen. 3/26/2010
