Lauren You are NEVER supposed to use treats to train a bird. Birds are not dogs. Birds like attention. Any type of attention. When they're good, you praise them and skritch them. When they're bad, you turn your back to them and completely ignore them (playing with his favorite toy and making fun, excited noises while your back is to him is a good way to make him feel left out). 3/5/2009
