| Annonymous | For some they believe the ruling is a violation of the first ammendment. But what about disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, or bullying? Or of course shouting "Fire" in a crowded theater last I checked was illegal. I've read and heard much about these incidents and I'm sure that the first ammendment wasn't meant to be used like this. I do see it as a way of exciting a fight or violent reaction. So many people misinterpret our freedoms to the point that rulings and laws are ridiculous. Our society made laws to ballance freedom and security. Too much freedom will create consequences and it is only a matter of time till one side cracks under the strain, someone gets hurt or killed, then people will start doing something. If societies have made laws against bullying, why doesn't these unreasonable acts count? | 3/26/2011 |
| Sue T. | I think other churches across America should unite and do something about these people. They are going to turn potential Christians away from the Lord. I know I am embarrassed that Christians would act like this. | 3/6/2011 |
| PFC Davis | I am disgusted by this. What if you child would die fight for what he or she thinks is right. Would you want people disrespecting there efforts. Protesting will never stop but at a funeral. This is to far. | 7/19/2010 |
| Vicki Daniels | that they need their meds adjusted real quick. The First Amendment might protect freedom of sppech and expression however under the same Admendment, it states "as long as they DO NOT disturb the peace". | 4/7/2008 |
| tammy | i think that these people are pathetic familys shouldn't have to deal with this when they are greaving over a lost loved one no matter what there orientation is .these people are just unhappy with there own lives and need somethig distructive to do | 12/12/2007 |
| Amy Bentley | take a look in the mirror, nothing says terrorists like this baptist church. If your going to preach to the kids actually teach them so they know what they are talking about. |

| Mike | my brother is in th army and if that hd happend my family would have that to worry about on top of my brothr dying.. If I saw that some one will have life of hell | 11/2/2007 |
| paul | yes what there doing is wrong, but so is the war...by saying it sould be banned there going against what this country was built on...there ignorant fools...i support our troops, they are my friends my brothers and my sisters..but what they are fighting for is false...and theres deaths are in vein because you cant get rid of all terrorism... | 7/4/2007 |
| Steven Derome | I personally think that all the people of the westboro baptist church should be submitted to the firing squad. i think most of these people are acting selfishly because it doesnt seem as though any of their kids are out there fighting and dying for this country. now what if people who were atheist proested at a priests funeral? would that be considered unjust whereas a priest does nuthin but a over popular guidence counselor. these people died for their country fighting so people can maintain their freedom. if someone gay was born gay then they cant help it. if god was such a saint then why would he spawn pre- condemned people? since it is a desire that people cannot help then surely the allmighty god would not create somethin that he supposably despises? if he's such a holy entity then he surely would not create a being just for the amuesment of watching him being cast out and exiled from a normal life just for sheer amuesment. How would it be just for soldiers to die in the name of "fags" if they themselves do not control these peoples destinies. how would this be just puishment to kill hundreds of innocents lives that are fighting in self defence in the name of peple who are just a littlw diffrent from the average person. saying thank god for ied's? isnt that appraising sinners who would kill without being provoked? their not killing for their survival. so why stick up for the iraqis? is that not the same as supporting sin? we are the defenders. they are the attackers. their is not direct statement in the bible saying that god hates gays. is not the bible just an interpretation? what would happen if a plane right now crashed in a church? they would about face us and blame something else. this seems like a bunch of rednecks blaming the worlds problem on somthing they dont like. so to all you protesters..... wake up amd take responsibility so in all due respect ...... | 1/17/2007 |
