B Boy "While I like Nintendo's prospects at the moment, it's usually safer to bet against the revolution. So, I'd have to say Nintendo is a very interesting business that's priced a bit too high to be a very interesting investment. "

This stock has almost tripled since Geoff Gannon wrote the above.
I wonder if he feels like a complete idiot...

Geoff Gannon "Jeff Gannon" was the pseudonym for a reporter who attended White House press conferences without working for an established media outlet. So, as far as doing damage to the name, Nintendo's Zelda series isn't at the top of the list. Besides, there are worse fates than being the villain in a game that good. 9/27/2006
Joe R I work at a video game retail chain in Michigan. After a moderate start, I belive the Nintendo Wii will take off like a rocket. Making a profit when you sell a console usually doesn't happen in the video game industry, though through a unique approach, Nintendo has managed to pull it off.

The Sony PS3 is still what the kids come in and ask about, though I'd be willing to bet the 500 to 600 dollar console price and games that cost between 60 and 100 dollars (due to high development costs, since some games now cost as much as Hollywood big-budget movies to produce) will scare-middle class people away. It might be the "most wanted" system right now, but it is unlikely it will be the 'most' anything for the first few years of its being on the market.

Once the Sony loyalists play the Wii and get their hands on that controller, there will be a lot of people to jump on the Wii bandwagon.

Shingo You hit the nail on the head. An article that really sheds light on what Nintendo is all about is long overdue. 9/26/2006
