Sophia J I'm amazed that this couple won this law suit. There must be something missing here. I mean, how dumb are they, to have eaten Thai food many times and even bother to ask the staff about nuts? Unfortunately, the staff made a big mistake with their answer. Lesson learned for both sides: for the small business, err on the side of caution, train your employees to say, YES WE USE NUTS, IF YOU'RE ALLERGIC, DON'T EAT HERE! and for the allergy sufferer, direct your questions to a doctor. how severe is my allergy? can i eat one nut or two and be okay or do i have to avoid even the smell of peanut butter? there have been news stories about kids in school who ended up in the hospital because someone nearby was eating a peanut butter sandwich. come on people. ... 8/14/2008
