Mannalian Foeto-maternal attachment - a new invention

This paper describes. 1. The mechnisms of foeto-maternal unions, which is in the form of attachment in sheep and goat. 2. A three layered system of separation between cotyledons and coruncles is described, which is the beginning of immuno-protection to the foetus. This is how non-self is recognized as self by the mother. There is no direct connection between foetal and maternal tissues.
