Lemongrass and citronella are not the same thing. They have different scientific names, although they are related. They do not smell the same and I suspect they do not taste the same, although I've never tasted citronella. |

thanks for the very helpful info..hope it will work on me..i have a problem in digestion and gastroenteritis..i am drinking lemon juice for a week now... is it okay to replace plain water with lemon grass juice?is there really side effect on drinking the juice daily? i read some articles regarding precautions and limiting the use of the infusion. it says: #1 Do not continuously drink the same infusion. At maximum use for 10 days and then skip 5 days. #2 Only have one cup of herbal infusion per day, except during acute periods - such as when you have a cold or flu, you can then have it three times a day, but for a maximum of 4 days. |

i have just began to accrue a nice collection of loose leaf teas, and herbs brewed as tea. one of them is dried lemon grass, which i have been drinking on a daily basis, brewed usually with a mixture of red tea ,or rooibos a famous south african herb which contains aspalathin, an alkaloid which is believed to fight skin cancer, and it is also chock full of vitamins and minerals, and i usually add honeybush another south african herb packed with heath benefits. i sometimes add yerba mate, a plant closely related to the holly family, and it is full of anti oxidants and vitamins. and i have several other loose leaf teas with amazing health benefits, but i enjoy my red tea/ lemon grass mixture before bed. and it tastes great with a bit of milk, and i like it iced. look up the tao of tea company in my home town of portland, oregon they will have any loose lead tea you could possibly imagine. it is a great company, all organic. check them out. try my brew, You'll love it, and your body will love you back. Jake, Portland, Oregon. |

I was really skeptical before when I first read this article about that ordinary grass which we can see in our garden and mostly hated because of the smell. Right after I experimented myself with this grass, I found out that it really WORKS. I am gradually detoxified and I feel refreshed after sipping a tea of that. I feel relaxed and feel good. Thanks for the article. |
