Nigel Anderson I've been looking for some property recently in costa rica. I've seen the beach kind of properties recently. Guanacaste seems like the bigg area, with a big focus on high dollar ocean front homes.

However, when i went there, i saw a ton of little apartments being developed, and sold for cheap. I understand that this is an easy way for small-level developers to get started, but are there really opportunites for guys like me with a few bucks to spend.

Please let me know, as i have a nice budget to deal with, and more than one opportunity to check out. Not to mention, i cant help but get irritated by these low end development deals out there clouding the view for big-time investors.

Michael That's a great article on Costa Rica. The country is doing quite well when compared to most other Latin American nations. It's a great place to invest from what I gather from locals. 8/27/2006
