Xtina Right, Erin. Let's see, act like inhumane animals to punish an inhumane animal the way he punished some unlucky human beings that happened to cross his path. Do you know what would have been much more grueling for him? Intense and healing psychotherapy what would have put him in touch with reality and the real impact of what he did to those human beings. And then not allowing him to kill himself when he realized what he really was. But that isn't going to happen in this world, right? It's too wise, isn't it? 5/28/2008
Xtina What do you mean, "thankfully"? Do you honestly think this guy was sane? 5/28/2008
John F. in Fiji I remember this case from when I lived in Billings, MT and how tragic it all was. I don't understand why it takes 20 years to carry out justice for this family however. It is a pity that the views of a few civil liberties proponants can delay a process that was decided by in a jury trial. They are worried about a little discomfort during his execution? What's next? 8/15/2006
Erin I lived in Billings and went to school with Amy (but didn't know her well) when this happened. I have to agree with the anti death penalty guys, though not because I pity the ________. Death is entirely too good for this piece of garbage who should not have been allowed to live in the comfort of an American prison for almost twenty years before being peacefully euthanized. He should have spent every day in prison breaking rocks in the heat and cold from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., sustained on the minimum daily allowance of nutrition, with no cable, no radio, no conjugal visits, no free education, etc. A cell with four walls, a cot and a toilet, along with hard labor and placement in the general prison population would not only be a punishment that better fits the crime of murder and saves countless tax dollars, but would also serve as a better deterrent to would-be murderers who at present may not view a life sentence in prison as much to fear, given that many of them may not have access to free food, clothing, shelter, cable, sex, gym equipment, etc. on the outside. The ACLU, Amnesty International and all the other whiny little _______ need to pull their heads out of their collective _____ and spend some time thinking about the victims. 8/14/2006
