Is Yahoo Chat Doomed?

Since Yahoo shut down the user-created rooms Yahoo chat has been on a steady downward spiral. Some estimates place the amount of people still using Yahoo's chat service at half of what there was only one year ago.

torrentvyper To a large extent, I agree. The Yahoo Chat that we knew and tolerated in the past will be gone, dead. What will replace it will be a 'new, improved chat experience, bot free and stable'. And it will only cost xx amount of money.

Sandy I agree, yahoo chat will be a thing of the past. The regular rooms are getting bad to with all the bots and spam, you can't even have a decent chat anymore, I spend 90 percent of my time putting all the bots on ignore and yahoo says it is recording the ISP's of chatters, yeah right. You make a complaint to yahoo and they just ignore it. Chatting at yahoo is just not fun anymore. 10/8/2006
