Tina from Leeds I take Maca, a herbal suppliment. It has reduced my flushes. Also what you eat before bed can make flushes worse, like avoid sugary things at all costs. I don't have a quilt on the bed and i have a fan that i waff over my face when i feel warm. No one gives me a hard time about it so Im getting through this natural process of my life quite calmly. It's not been turned into a problem at all. 11/21/2009
Miss October the list of symptoms never mentions nausea. i've had nausea for several years, not just mornings, but also afternoons, evenings and in the night. i am told it is not related to hormone fluctuations but i disagree. i have migraines and many other hormone related issues. 8/25/2009
Nancy Borris I don't understand why menopausal issues are referred to as 'sufferings' throughout this article. They are a stage of life and so It would be great to change the tone of the above article so that it is not so demeaning.

I was sure this was a gentleman writing the article before I even looked.
just something to think about: I wonder if you suffered through growing a beard? and how you would like others to refer to it as such!

Joy I am in my tenth year of hot flashes and night sweats. I recently have noticed that I forget words and names sporacially which is very frustrating and embarrassing. I am exhausted all the time. I am 55 years young. Menopause is very real. I continue to work and keep a smile on my face. I am so looking forward to POST menopause. Send it my way please. 8/5/2008

marguerite I find this very interesting, as I am a very healthy eater I have started menopause at age 45 I am now 48 years old and experience very little effect from the menopause. I find that each night before I go to bed I eat vegetables and take calcium with magnesium. This enables me to sleep very well. 2/20/2007
Stacy It would be helpful to know how long it lasts by surgically being thrust into menopause- since there is no gradual or easing into it. 2/4/2007
