Grace according to God, a power of divine proportions

Biblical Grace is not and never was unmerited favor, nor mercy, nor forgiveness, but a change in the human condition, because of a change in the human heart, accomplished by God!

anne robare Regarding the article on God's Grace: You are correct regarding what you wrote about "unmerited favor". God's definition of His Grace is not and never was "unmerited favor". The Greek word "charis", the one and only Greek word that should have been translated into the word "Grace", was first used in the NT in Lk 2:40. God's Grace was, is and always will be upon His Holy and Righteous Son, not "unmerited favor"! God's definition of Grace is best revealed in 2Co 12:9-10; it is GOD'S POWER FROM ON HIGH that we also read about in Scriptures such as Lk 24; Ac 1:1-11; Ro 1:16-25; etc. The Greek words "chariti" and "charitos" describe how we receive God's Power from on High. However, we cannot receive God's Power from on High until we begin where Jesus Christ told us to in Mt 6:33a. We must seek first and find first as Paul also wrote in Ro 1:16-25. With God's Power comes Wisdom, Righteousness, Sanctification and Redemption, 1Co 1-3. If you want to discuss this, use my america online id: canawedding, anne robare 11/10/2007
shelly I think what you say is awsome. But I also think that Jesus' love for me is so great that "pleasing" him is not an issue. If it were then "I" would be involved in the transformation. He and He alone is able to do His work in me. Also, there is nothing, absolutely nothing I can do to gain more favor (or love) with Him. And that being said, so then there is nothing I can do to have less favor with Him. All I can do is be willing, even desperate for him to woo me into love with Him. Then He causes me to fall in love with Him and the more in love I fall the less even repentance becomes an issue. He pick us up out of the mire, cleans off all the slop, kisses our booboos, puts clean clothes on us... Then stands us up in front of Himself and says --- Just look at you!! I am so proud of you, you are my child and I really love you. And what did we do?? Nothing, just hold on to Him and let Him be the dad and us the kid. 9/4/2006
