Latvian Language & Latvian Translation

Information and resources on Latvian language & Latvian language translation. The Baltic languages are classified among the Northern Indo-European language group, a branch that includes the Slavic and Germanic languages. Two Baltic languages, Lithuanian and Lettish, or Latvian, survive. In addition are found some scant traces of Old Prussian as well as evidence of a fourth distinct dialect, Curonian. These four languages retain archaic elements of ancient Indo-European and of their common ancestor Proto- Baltic. The Baltic, Slavic, and Germanic language groups are the only Indo-European languages to have the sound m in the dative plural ending, which indicates their close relationship. Below are links that provide information about the Latvian language.
