Accommodation Guides and Directories
Hotels offer lodging, food, and related services to people who are either away from home, or just needing a place to stay. Hotels come in four types: transient, residential, resort, and motels. Resort hotels are for vacationers, offering recreational or convention facilities for guests. Most are owned by large hotel companies. Transient hotels, usually located in the downtown portion of cities, cater to business travelers and tourists. Residential hotels offer rooms or apartments on a monthly or yearly basis, and offer dining, room service, and maid service. Motels serve tourists, and are located close to highways.
