The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) is one of the successor-states of the Socialist Federated Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY), which broke up in 1991. The SFRY consisted of six republics: Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Macedonia. The FRY, established in 1992, consists of only two republics: Serbia and Montenegro. It is bounded on the north by Hungary, on the south by Macedonia and Albania, on the east by Romania and Bulgaria, on the northwest by Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, and on the west by the Adriatic Sea.
