Air travel has revolutionized the 20th century more than any invention known to man. The development of the airplane and led to further research for other aircraft. The principles of flight originated from the study of aerodynamics, the history of airplane development and an overview of contemporary air transportation. The Wright brothers' flying machine in 1903 introduced these principles to the world, however rough in design they might have been. The pilot was responsible for moving the plane's direction using body movements, and the entire plane resembled a box kite. Recent advances show however, the genius of this invention.
