Oceania Wildlife and Safaris
Oceania is a name used to refer to the widely scattered islands of the central and south Pacific; Australia and New Zealand are frequently included. Virtually all of the islands are volcanic peaks or tiny coralline atolls built upon submerged volcanic bases. Some, such as New Guinea, are sizable land areas thrusting snowcapped peaks as high as 16,400 feet. The continent of Australia, however, shows no evidence of recent volcanism. Here are sites related to wildlife and safaris trips in the Oceania region.
