Pinelands National Reserve

The Pinelands National Reserve is located in south central New Jersey and constitutes the largest undeveloped tract of land on the Eastern seaboard. The area is well known for its massive water resources, including marshes, bogs, and ponds. The reserve is also home to thousands of dwarfed pines, the trees from which its name is derived. The ecosystem here is unique because it is dependent upon periodic fires and it is also home to several rare and endangered species of plants and animals. Below are links that provide information about the Pinelands National Reserve.
