North America Windsurfing
Wind surfing, boardsailing and windsurf in North America. Windsurfing, also called boardsailing, became popular in Europe in the 1970s and spread around the world. North America is the larger of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. Its main body is extended in the northwest by the peninsula of Alaska and its Aleutian Islands chain, in the northeast by Greenland, in the southeast by Florida's peninsula, and in the southwest by Mexico. In addition, the Caribbean islands are also often included in the physical definition of North America. Altogether, the continent's land area places it third in size among the seven continents, smaller only than Asia and Africa.
