Anthropology is defined as the study of the origin, nature, and destiny of human beings. Anthropologists and sociologists research cultures and heritages of the world to better understand the history and evolution of human beings. Every culture embraces a different set of learned attitudes and behavior that includes unique forms of art, morals, laws and customs. Ethnology is a branch of anthropology that deals chiefly with the direct comparative and analytical study of the behavior and customs of cultural groups, such as tribes, institutions, communities, social classes and dialect groups. Anthropologists and private and governmental organizations have helped to preserve international cultures through their ethnological studies, conservation efforts and monetary contributions.
