Womens boxing. Although women's sports aren't as internationally popular as men's sports, many female athletes like golfer Babe Didrikson and tennis player Billie Jean King have proven that women can be worthy opponents to their male counterparts. Female athletes have long been a popular attraction of the Olympics, as seen in the cases of gymnasts Nadia Comaneci and Olga Korbut and skaters Dorothy Hamill and Kristi Yamaguchi. More recently, the Women's National Basketball Association was established, and female athletes are currently making advances in such sports as baseball, boxing, soccer, ice hockey, and automobile racing.
