Airports and Traffic Control

Airports consist of hangars, traffic control towers, aircraft maintenance and refueling stations, terminal facilities and accommodations for passengers and cargo, and landing strips for the arrival and departure of aircrafts. As airplanes became more sophisticated, so did the facilities required to handle their operations. One such type of facility is the traffic control tower, which is responsible for making sure that travelers reach their intended destination as fast and as safe as possible. Eventually, most airports will be equipped with computerized systems that will easily program and control all types of traffic. This section focuses on airports, airport traffic control and management.
