Netball
Netball, which is especially popular in girls' schools in England and many other countries, is similar to six-player basketball in the U.S. The game is played between two teams consisting of three centers, two defenders, and two attackers. Each player covers specific areas of the court, cannot run with the ball, and must pass it by hand to the other players. The centers attempt to pass the ball to the attackers, who are the only ones who may shoot the ball into the basket. The defenders, in turn, try to prevent baskets from being made. This section focuses on netball.
