Handball
Handball is a competitive sport in which two or four players use a gloved hand to hit a hard rubber ball against one or more walls or ceiling of an enclosed court. The serving team scores when the opposing team can't return the ball after it hits the front wall and bounces once in the court. The first side to score 21 points wins. Early forms of handball were played in Rome, Spain, and France. The modern version of the game was developed in18th-century Ireland and was brought to the United States by Irish immigrants.
