Barrel Racing

Barrel racing is a rodeo sport involving participants riding horses through a timed obstacle course of barrels, which the riders try not to knock down before reaching the finish line. Also, neither the rider nor the horse can fall during the course of the race. The rider who makes it through the course with the best time and without making any errors is deemed the winner. The National Barrel Horse Association is the governing body for races in the United States and sanctions over 3,500 events each year for all classes of riders.
