Cricket Teams & Profiles

Cricket is a summertime team sport using a bat and ball that was developed by the British and is popular in such countries as India, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and the West Indian nations. Played on a field of grass, cricket involves two teams of 11 players, with the defending team bowling a ball toward a target located on the side of the opposing team, whose batter tries to block the target, hit the ball and score a run through a succession of movements. This section focuses on cricket teams from Australia and the United Kingdom.
