National Basketball Association (NBA)

Basketball is a sport that is a played on an indoor or outdoor court by two teams of five players. The object of the game is to score the most points by shooting a ball through a basket. Basketball is played on an amateur level by mainly high schools and colleges, and on a professional level by athletes belonging to such organizations as the National Basketball Association. It became an Olympic Game in 1936 and is a popular spectator sport in such countries as Europe, South America, and the United States.
