Poetry & Poems

Poetry existed long before Shakespeare, Milton or Chaucer. It existed long before written language. Today poetry offers itself more often in the form of music than in sonnets. In this section, read poetry online in all forms (or free-form) written by Buzzle.com writers and members from all walks of life, all over the world.
Think about it...
If I read a book and it makes my whole body so cold no fire can ever warm me, I know that it is poetry. If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know it is poetry. These are the only ways I know it. Are there other ways?
--Emily Dickinson
