Education Associations and Organizations

The 20th century has seen many advances in education. School and college curricula have kept students abreast of developments in science and technology. Modifications of the classic ideas on learning and new systems of psychology influenced new educational ideals. New systems by innovators such as John Dewey and William James influenced whole nations. Education for all became a primary agenda for many social and political leaders, especially in emerging nations, where illiteracy was often widespread. During the second half of the 20th century, most of the world's nations were committed to providing education for all children.
