Plugins
Plugins add functionality to your software; utilities aid system management. For instance, plug-ins allow you to hear sounds or view videos from the net, while virus checkers and file compression tools are utilities. Some are provided along with commercial software packages, while others are sold separately or can be downloaded from the net as shareware (try before you buy) or freeware (no strings attached). These can either be downloaded directly from their websites, or acquired using an FTP client such as CuteFtp or Fetch. Below you will find resources to help you locate the plug-in or utility you need.
