Internet Censorship and Online Privacy Issues

Censorship and online privacy issues on the Internet. A big issue for the Internet is censorship, but this is nothing new in publishing. Censorship works on many levels, from official (in totalitarian regimes) down to personal, which is why there are programs available to enable parents to control what their children can and can-t download from the Internet. Restraints are possible at a higher level, such as Internet service providers blockading pornography. Meanwhile, self-censorship has flown out the window as the Internet is regarded as a free and open forum for all sorts of opinions and beliefs.
