Internet Issues and Problems
A wide range of issues have been raised by the technological advances in computers and the Internet. Government, industry, academia, advocacy groups, and individuals are all trying to analyze and recommend courses of action that will legislate the new technologies without infringing on civil liberties rights. Some of the issues that have been raised include privacy in cyberspace, censorship and free speech - particularly concerning the access of minors to sexually explicit sites, and copyright and intellectual property rights.
