Parental Control & Filtering

Parents do have control over their computer systems. A simple password program assigns secret passwords or security codes to every person using the system, and this data must be entered before the system allows them access. Other passwords and codes may be assigned to specific files. Data-encryption files change information in a file prior to storage or transmission, special passwords and codes re-assemble the necessary information before viewing. For children using the internet, parents often install special programs limiting a child's viewing capabilities and surfing powers, allowing a child access to pre-approved web sites and information. The links contained herein offer information about parental control and filtering.
