MacPerl

A central processing unit (CPU) is a basic necessity for computer systems, Mac or PC. MacPerl is used for Macintosh, and provides a place for instruction interpretation, arithmetic operations, and data processing. The CPU is connected to several computer memory units as well as input-output devices by interface terminals. These are commanded by the CPU in organized programming processes to respond in accordance to changing system needs. The CPU runs the main calculations process and has governmental control of the entire system. In return, computer systems are labeled by the name and type of the CPU.
