Multimedia & Digital Imaging

Multimedia represents computer systems that provide presentations including several formats, including text, graphics, animation, audio, and video. This enhancement became available in the 90s, a result of technological advances in digital image compression. Using CD-ROMs, and online services, this technology enables users to experience a fuller view and sound of information available to them. CDs were able to hold a sizable amount of information, much more than floppy disks, or external memory drives, and have been utilized to further research into other arenas of multimedia development.
