Apple History

History of Apple computers. On April 1, 1976, high school dropouts Steven Wozniak and Steven Jobs launched Apple Computer. After a lukewarm initial reception, the Apple II took off following its unveiling at a 1977 computer trade show. By 1980, Apple was becoming a major player in the computer market, domestically and internationally, with Jobs at the helm. It reached its apex in the mid 1980s with the release of the Macintosh, one of the most innovative machines of its day. Today, Apple remains a force (its iMAC machine was last year’s top selling computer) and is the preferred computer for most graphic designers.
