People & Places
People and places information and resources guide that may be of interest to children or families as a whole. Traditional education includes at least a basic familiarization with the people and places that make up the world in which we live. Through the study of various cultures and history of such cultures, people become aware of the developments and traditions that shape their own lives. Such education also heightens awareness of cultures different from one's own, an extremely important concept as the world is made smaller by the Internet and other advanced communications equipment.
