Parenting Associations and Organizations

Though the traditional definition of a parent refers only the biological father or mother of a given individual, those who adopt children or anyone who provides the primary care for a child have all come to be thought of as parents in terms of both tradition and statutory law. By law, parents have certain responsibilities and rights with regard to their minor children. Among these responsibilities are financial support, provision of health care, and education. Through time, as parents have become increasingly concerned with their role as developers of young lives, literature and guidance relating to parenting has become very popular. The links included herein relate specifically to parenting and guidance associations and organizations.
