Adoption

Adoption refers to the legal process by which a child without parents, or without suitable parents, is taken into the guardianship of an individual or couple, who then become the child's legal parents. The laws governing such legally formed relationships are identical to those applied to typical parent-child relations. Though the traditional definition of a parent refers only the biological father or mother of a given individual, those who adopt children or anyone who provides the primary care for a child have all come to be thought of as parents in terms of both tradition and statutory law. The process of adoption has become a rigorous one in which potential parents are examined closely to determine their level of fitness to care for the child. By law, parents have certain responsibilities and rights with regard to their minor children. Among these responsibilities are financial support, provision of health care, and education. Through time, as parents have become increasingly concerned with their role as developers of young lives, literature and guidance relating to parenting has become very popular. Below are articles on baby adoptions with information and facts about adoption, children for adoption and adoption services to adopt a child, effects of children adoption and adopting babies.
