Land and Flying Mammals
Mammals are warm-blooded vertebrate animals who feed their young with milk, produced from mammary glands in the body of the female. They are the dominant life form on this planet, although not as numerous as insects. Most young mammals are born blind and relatively helpless, and must be cared for by the mother, before they are able to survive on their own. Mammals inhabit virtually every ecological niche: land, sea and air. Most of the animals we keep as pets are mammals.
