Workplace Fairness & Diversity

Diversity, violence, harassment, stress, communication, women & safety in the workplace. The issue of diversity in the labor force in the United States is an issue that has moved to the forefront of the employment concerns of the nation. For centuries, the vast majority of the paid labor force in the United States was comprised of white males. Up until the triumphs of the Civil Rights Movement, legislation existed which helped to maintain the white male majority in labor. Now the move for diversification is on, with programs such as Affirmative Action helping to ensure that minorities and women account for a certain percentage of the work force. The concept is to level the playing field and give every American a truly equal opportunity for employment and advancement.
