Official Treaties & Trade Laws
International treaties, trade agreements & international trade laws. The advent of freer markets and a truly global economy has inevitably led to an increase in importing and exporting businesses throughout the world, thus spurring international business and finance. Such agreements as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the General Agreement on Trade and Tariffs (GATT) have contributed heavily to such globalization and have resulted in more efficient communication, trading, and investing between countries. The dominant legislative force in the arena of international trade law is the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). This commission was formed in direct response to the globalization of trade. The links herein relate specifically to international treaties and trade laws.
