Electronic Exchange Systems & Standards
Electronic data exchange systems & electronic commerce standards. As with any type of business transaction, there are certain standards to which the rapidly expanding field of electronic commerce must adhere. With electronic commerce now encompassing nearly every product and service that is available offline, the same level of ethical responsibility is required. In addition to ethical standards, a growing concern of those involved in electronic commerce is the issue of security. With the amount of information that is being transferred over the Internet, the criminal element has greater opportunity to gain access to sensitive financial information of both consumers and merchants alike. Legislation and other measures are now being put in place to help secure electronic commerce. The links included herein relate to exchange systems and electronic commerce standards.
