Temporary employees and contract employees often experience much different professional atmospheres and attitudes than their full-time counterparts. Agreements between staffing companies and their clients typically entail the temporary staff member working for the company in need of additional short-term employees. That firm, in turn, pays the staffing company, which then pays the temporary employee. Contract employees, though similar to temporary employees, typically are paid more and have a longer term of service. Such positions are usually more beneficial to the employee and, as with the temporary employee relationship, can lead to a full-time position.
