Famous Photographers
Photography is the production of an image on a sensitized surface by light. When the shutter of a camera is clicked, light reflected from the image to be photographed falls upon the film in the camera, changing the grains of silver salts on the film, and recording the image. When the film is developed, the grains are converted into black metallic silver, which makes the image visible. The resulting negative image is then placed in a fixing solution, which prevents the image from being affected by further exposure to light. Photography emerged as a recognized art form in the late 19th Century.
