Literary Education
Education, historically, has always been a popular method of standardizing the accepted behavior of the members of societies. Literary education is one facet of the overall educational process, albeit a most important one. Literary education involves the incorporation of the language of a society into the behavior and daily routines of the pupils. The basic building blocks of literary education include the mastery of vocabulary, usage, and syntax. More advanced literary study involves the interpretation of works of literature, often on several levels which may include symbolism and metaphors. Literary education usually requires the mastery of the written word by the students as a means of communication.
